As far as
I can remember we always were involved with dogs in our
home... My very first dog was a Vojvodinian Pulin called
Ribica /Little fish/. Ribica had been living for 25
years...from my Mum's childhood to mine...
Then we had Cuki....Ribica's son...I don't have even his
picture...but I remember hm as I saw him yesterday...
After Cuki came Maza....Maza was a quiet dog...and had
only one litter...
In 1991. I started to show interestings in full-blooded dogs... My
Grandma wasn't so pleased with with my ideas...but...We
already had Kika - Vojvodinian Pulin, and then I found
Lady. Lady was a mixie between German Sheperd and a
Rough Collie. He looked much alike Smooth Collie, or even
like a wolf. Lady was my faithful friend, she had her
leash, her brushes...all.
In December 15th, 2002. during cold, winter the number of dogs is
changed. My mother found two little "balls" in the
street when first snow started to fall. The yellow one
we call Candy and the black&tan one Cherry! They fit
right into our family! Once again...we one scary event
took away our Cherry...On February 14th, 2003. one big
black dog from the street went into our backyard and
killd our sweet...
Kika died in 2003...and Lady one year after.... The only
consolation is that they had a long, happy life with
us...
And now about the start of my
Kinology career.... ;)))
The whole story started in 1994. when I almost decided to breed
Rough Collies.
I found my first dog in the street, and called her Lassie. She was
my first fool-blooded dog. She was a sweet girl, who
enjoyed playing football with me.
Lassie brought forth two litters. There were three puppies in that
first litter: Deni, Gagi-Alf and one girl who we caled
Gagica....They were born on December 28th 1994...But we
lost Gagica after only 9 days...She died in my
arms...And it was my first touch with theat "dark side"
of being a breeder....Deni and Alf are still
alive...Actually Deni lives in my neighbourhood, and I
am so proud when I that he is a king of his family.
In the second litter there were only two puppies- Tajana and Vitez
Soko /Knight Falcon/. Tajana was a small, small baby and
we decided to keep her...
Lassie's life was happy and long... But never long enough, for us -
dog lovers...
She died in October 26th 1998. and no matter that her
life was long and happy, I were very sad...
After she died, one new Collie found the way to our hearts-our
crazy Leila! ; ) I've never met the dog that can bark
and run in a circle more than she can!!! She can run
around the garden for hours.
And now....the start of the
Afghan story....
In 1995. I met Dr. Djordje Tesic ( Ben Ben`s Afghan Kennel), who
introduced me the Afghan hounds. I fell in love at the
first sight...
My first Afghan was a black male named Artur ( Ben Ben`s Astra &
Risa Chan`s Uphir ), but we all called him "Basti".
basti was Dr Tesic's first choice from that litter where
were 14 puppies. Basti came to my home in October 1995.
I loved him very much and spent every day with him. He
was a wonderful Affie... Cheerful, and playful and his
obediance skills were far beyond any other Afghan I knew
before. He also was trained by me to do the attack and
aport. We both enjoyed in every momemnt spent together.
He was my precious mate.

Unfortunately, we lost him so early...he died from the heart attack
in December 22, 1996. We'll never forget him... He was
my son, my smile, my all... It was a very hard stroke
for my heart and I couldn't accept that for a long
time... I was crying for months...didn't want to go out,
didn't want to take care of anything anymore...But my
Mum and Grandma and my boyfriend Robert helped me to
stand back to my feet again...
At about the same time when Basti came, I bought a female imported
from Hungary- Fan-Fell Esmeralda "Nelly". Nelly was a
scared little darling who didn't have much luck in her
life...until she came to us...She was never fond of the
dog shows, so we decided not to force her, but to let
her decide what she wants in her life. Ane she did
it...Her decision was to be a good mother and a
wonderful friend to us... She died on March 25th
2006....like that she couldn't live without her Zulfi
anymore...
Nelly brought forth three litters ( "B", "T" and "D" ). In Ben
Ben's Kennel she brought forth their "H" litter. /Ben
Ch. Ben's Heart Breaker "Skazi", Ch Ben Ben's Happy Day
"Hella"/
From "B" litter we decided to keep two females: Best Baby Girl
"Astrica" and Born To Be Fame "Ajsha" They were born on
September 8th, 1996. ( Palmory De Troy "Sonny" &
Fan-Fell Esmeralda "Nelly" ) Those two girls were my
happy stars who rose me up from my agony after I lost my
sweet Basti...
We showed two of them only twice in Junior class. They were so
similar and the judges' decisions were the first time -
JB for Astra and the second time JB for Ajsha.Ajsha was
a very promissing and a wonderful character girl. I saw
a future star and a good mum in her...
The next decision was to buy a male... I made a reservation in Ben
Ben's Kennel for a puppy from the combination- Risa
Chan's Zulfikar & Walk of Fame Gandamak...But...There
was only one male, and Dr Tesic's advice was not to take
him... I can't tell you how desperate I was... I was
young and spoiled girl, thinking that I can get all I
want, at once....But then I made other plan...And didn't
stop until I fullfilled it...

On August 22nd, 1998. my Mum Zora decided to give me the best
present in my whole life.... the most adorable Afghan
Hound Risa Chan's Zulfikar. We were in a very, very hard
financial situation, but my Mum gave all she had to make
her daughter happy and smiling again...We love him so
much. Zulfi is the most wonderful dog in the world, so
friendly, lively and proud. He is my king! I say it in
the Present Tense, because he is never going to die for
us..Never....Even if the sky take him away from this
dimension on February 5th, 2006....he is still here. He
keeps us and loves us on every step of our way...
In October 1998. I had to give my Ajsha to Backa Topola, in
co-ownership to Milivojevic family, for some period,
because hard financial situation. I thought it was the
best for my Ajsha. They would give her more attention,
more love, she'll be the one and only. But I was
wrong... After two years, precisely, in March 2000. I
found out that Ajsha is dead. Those inhuman people
brutally killed my beautiful girl with a gun!!!!. I am
never going to forgive myself... Never...
In January 2000. one more sad story...Big Soft Paw "Arap" came back
home. In the snow storm on January 23th we had a rescue
advanture....And we did it! His owners didn't love him
enough and didn't want him anymore...without informing
me, of course...
Arap is happy here now, and so we are. I had to cut his coat,
because it was so matted. But he is really beautiful
male. And he enjoys in his life as much as he can, the
next door to his litter sister Astra...
We couldn't rescue our sweet Ajsha, but we recued Arap...
From our "D" litter where were 3 puppies - Santa, Sandro and
Sandra, we kept female Daddy's Pride Girl "Santa". We
also call her Anita or Nita. Nita is cream, sweet and
lovely. She likes children, running and sleeping in my
bed! She is Multi Ch and Int Ch She is not that
enthusiastic about the Dog Shows like her father, but
she is quite successful. She is brilliant when she stays
in pose alone in the ring without necessity even to hold
a leash. She is like a statue. A sweet proffessional
girl. After her first, and unfortunatelly last litter,
we promissed her retairing...I cut down her coat and now
she is a Queen of the Kennel.
On December 29th, 2002. she brought forth two boys /"G" litter",
but it had to be by C-section... Unfortunatelly the vet
didn't do his jobe well and the wound ruptured once on
January 1st 2005....and then again the second time on
January 7th 2006....Then we changed the vet, and thanks
to Dr Zarko Mikalacki - Lale, our Nita's life was
saved...And our two boys still have their Mummy. The
boys were without names for a long time... I had some
big private problems, and they simply were called "the
boys"...Until my cousin Ljiljana /the owner of Azbelltas
Boss of Puppies "Aleksandar"/ has noticed that when she
held the boys lying on the back in her lap, their
forelegs reminds her on a bunny's legs....Heheheheh,
very funny! So, the boys got their nicknames - Svileni
Zeka /Silky Bunny/ and Plisani Zeka /Velvet Bunny/. In
June 2005. Silky bunny found his new home in Zagreb, and
also got a new name - Sirius.
Now
about Astra...
Astra brought forth two litters ("E" and "F").
From "E" litter /18.08.2000./ I gave a female Egyptian Princess
Tanita to co-ownership to one kind, young man Zoran
Dupor, who couldn't afford to buya pup and he was
longing for an Afghan for years. He calls her Zara and
he loves her so much. Zara is CH YU, but not very crazy
about shows... She came back home in October 2006. and
now she lives with us.
The boy Eyes of Orient Tarik lives in Novi Sad with Sanja Grujic,
and has a great pet career!!!!
From
"F" litter born in July 5th, 2002. we kept three
boys-Schummi, Ballack and Sven. Somebody think that I'm
crazy, but I simply love dogs and I live for them. I
enjoy in every their move, every their mischief... They
go to the Shows and Sven like it the most. He finished
his Ch SCG in a record of time, and also Int CH with
only 28 months of age! We are very proud of him.
In April, 2005. Ballack went to live in Czech Republic. He lives
with one more Afghan male and his co-owner Roman Ludwik
who adores him. Other three litter mates live happily in
Bulgaria, Bosnia and here, near Belgrade. All about them
you can find in Litter section.
Azbelltas Fine Finesse Alessandro Del Piero is the most successful
Azbelltas Afghans and we are very proud of him, and
thankful to his wonderful owners Valentina and Hristo
from Sofia.
I enjoy in breeding so much, and I'm the happiest when my puppies
find good new owners to give them love. I like dog
shows, but because of our financial situation I can't go
there often. My big wish is to visit some dog shows
abroad and to acquire one beautiful dog, some new blood
line.
It happen in 2004. when Martial Robin, the owner of "Le Menuel
Galopin Kennel" in France, decided to give me his hand
and help me in my breeding plans. He commited his
Tancrede du Menuel Galopin to my care for one year. It
was the big test for me, but I passed it successfully.
He was a sire of our "G " litter. And under my handling
he became Ch SCG and Int CH, and also V4 in Open class
at the Eurodogshow in Tulln in 2005. From the beginning
with Afghans afair I was dreaming about Menuel Galopin
Afghans, and Martial made my dreams come true... Many
thanks to him.
New age story...
In June 2006. one new puppy came to our Kennel and became a kind of
our mascote... ;))) It is a little, cute Chinese Crested
Dog Powderpuff - Vagabond Mali Zmaj "Leo". We are so
happy that Zorica Dragic, his breeder gave us the chance
to have such a wonderful dog! Leo alreday started his
show career, eventhough we took him only to be our pet,
winning JB, BOB and BOG3 at one National dog show when
he was only 9 months old.

Leo is a good friend with Zeka, Santa and Zara, and we like to call
him - "our toy Afghan"... We hope that in the future
we'll find some sweet PP girfriend for Leo.
I don't want to sound like that I am complaining...but....Living
here is a big obstacle when you want to be a serious dog
breeder... but I fight as hard as I can...
I also want to meet all people who love those wonderful beings.
Don't be surprised! I am just one open-hearted person
who wants to share experience with others.
So, if you love or have Afghans, or want to have, call me! Let's be
friends!!!!
